Top things to do in Dubai — week of 30 March

Eleven Dubai picks for the week of 30 March, from a DIFC founder breakfast to an Alserkal opening and a Sushisamba Tuesday locals will not post about. Curated weekly.

Omar HaddadOmar Haddad·29 March 2026·3 min read·Dubai

Last properly cool week of the season, yallah make it count. The heat has not arrived yet but the founders are already pricing summer flights to London. Here is what I am actually doing this week.

I keep a running shortlist on Rifio so I am not refreshing five ticketing platforms — the Dubai this-week page refreshes daily.

Monday: Quiet entry point

Most of Dubai pretends Monday does not exist. The exception this week is a small founder dinner at BB Social DIFC at 7pm — twelve seats, AED 220, the host runs a fintech in the building. RSVP via Luma, it filled fast last month.

Otherwise: stay in, prep your week, you will need it.

Tuesday: Sushisamba

Tuesday at Sushisamba Dubai is the kitchen-on-form night. Half-full floor, the rolls are made slower, the rooftop gets a breeze that does not exist on Friday.

AED 250 set, drinks separate. The bar seats are the move — watch the chefs, ignore the buffet entirely. Book the 7:30 slot.

Wednesday: Innovation Hub Founders Breakfast

This is the most important entry on the list. The Innovation Hub at DIFC runs a Wednesday breakfast at 8:30am — free RSVP, about 80 founders and a rotating cast of operator-investors. The most consistent first-investor-conversation room in the city.

Show up at 8:15. Coffee, two pastries, three real conversations and you are out by 10. The week's tone gets set here.

Thursday: Alserkal Avenue gallery night

Three openings on the same night across Al Quoz. Carbon 12 has the strongest show this round, Lawrie Shabibi's group show is worth a fast walk-through, The Third Line is doing a film screening at 8pm.

Free entry across all of them, drinks at the openings, get there 7pm and walk the loop. Recieve a proper dose of the city's actually-functioning art ecosystem.

Friday: COYA Pisco Sundays-on-Friday

The marketing makes no sense — Pisco Sundays now runs Friday — but the room is great, the small plates are honest, AED 425 a head plus the AED 250 Pisco package if you drink. Four Seasons JBR rooftop, sunset over the marina.

Skip if you went last month. If you have not been, this is the right introduction.

Saturday: Brunch, then Zuma DIFC bar

Pick a brunch under AED 400 (BB Social, JBR options) or splurge on Trèsind Studio if you want the one brunch in the city worth bragging about. Avoid anything advertising on the back of a taxi.

Then 6pm at Zuma DIFC — the bar, not the restaurant. One drink. By 7 the room is full of people pretending they are not networking, by 8 it is openly networking, by 9 it is a party. The most useful 90 minutes of any Saturday.

Sunday: Slow lunch, optional talk

Long lunch at Time Out Market — three counters, communal table, AED 150 a head, no booking. The ramen counter and the wood-fired pizza counter are the two to hit.

If you must do an event: MBR Library hosts a Sunday afternoon English-language talk most weeks. Free, finishes at 5, sound speakers.

That is the week. I will be at the Innovation Hub Wednesday and Sushisamba Tuesday — wallah, doing nothing on Friday, I have learnt my lesson on the back-to-back nights.

Save the ones you fancy on Rifio so you do not forget. The Dubai networking events filter is genuinely useful for the founder-heavy weeks.
