About this event
Sisterhood is a fortnightly online session for young blind and partially sighted women and girls aged 11-25. Our sessions help you build positivity, confidence, and self-esteem. Join us on Zoom every other Tuesday evening for some girl talk and good vibes! Throughout the year we will explore self-care and well-being activities and dive into any topics of conversation and activities which are important to you.
With your feedback, we plan sessions tailored to what you want to talk about! We discuss a range of topics; these range from long cane techniques to media recommendations. In essence, sisterhood sessions are a safe space for VI young women and girls to share, laugh, teach, feel empowered and inspired!
The young people who partake in these sessions can interact however they find comfortable, whether this is speaking out loud to the group or using the chat system. We look forward to speaking with you soon and if you have any questions or feedback, please let us know!
