Interstellar: Tribute to Hans Zimmer by Mystery Ensemble

✨ Join us on May 2nd at the atmospheric Bolton Parish Church (St Peter) at the historic heart of Bolton, for one of our most atmospheric programmes!

Soundtracks of the renowned film ’Interstellar,’ directed by Christopher Nolan, and brought to life by the enchanting performance from Mystery Ensemble.

Hans Zimmer, the constant collaborator in his films and one of the greatest film composers of our time, is an Oscar winner, a two-time Golden Globe winner, and a three-time Grammy winner. Zimmer’s original compositions will be reimagined for a unique ensemble of electronic and acoustic instruments.

The concert organisers are the creative agency RED EVENTS & Distribution Ltd, which produces exceptional cultural events in ancient mansions, on rooftops, in greenhouses, and in other most atmospheric venues throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, and other countries. Also in the repertoire – a collection of concerts by candlelight and with complete immersion in the space of video art and sound.

About venue
Bolton Parish Church (St Peter) stands at the historic heart of Bolton and has been a place of Christian worship for over a thousand years. The present building, completed in 1871 in the Gothic Revival style, rises proudly above the town centre with its distinctive tower and impressive stone architecture, making it one of Bolton’s most recognisable landmarks.
Inside, the church reveals a spacious, dignified interior with high arches, traditional stained-glass windows, and a sense of calm grandeur that reflects its long civic and spiritual role in the town. As the historic parish church of Bolton, the building has been closely connected to the community's cultural life for centuries.

Renowned for its warm and balanced acoustics, Bolton Parish Church provides an inspiring setting for concerts, choral works, chamber ensembles, and candlelit performances. The generous proportions of the nave allow sound to resonate clearly throughout the space, creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and uplifting.

Mystery Ensemble is a group of professional musicians performing unique programs in non-standard venues around Great Britain, Europe and other countries.

Experience outstanding works from different eras, experimental music, tributes, and world soundtracks of films and series, as well as unique programs and immersive shows. All music is presented in the author’s arrangements. With the possibility of independent choice of program, unexpected locations, and format flexibility, our team of professional musicians is inspired to bring their favourite music to life.

Founded in 2021, our contemporary music studio has grown rapidly, with over 40 shows in the UK in its first year. Our founder, Almin Alexander, has devoted more than 12 years of his life to the music industry and the development of cultural initiatives worldwide, working with many outstanding musicians and musical groups.

The ensemble’s repertoire contains an incredible amount of music. Just look at some of the programs so dearly loved by our viewers: these are tribute concerts of such great composers as Ludovico Einaudi, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Ólafur Arnalds, Joe Hisaishi, or the minimalists’ John Cage and David Lang, along with At the same time, the ensemble performs popular soundtracks from sensational TV shows and movies: Wednesday, The Young Pope, Harry Potter, a variety of Disney and Pixar films, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit saga, Spencer, Star Wars and others. There is also the unique music of Enigma and Enya, combined with neoclassical music or world-rock hits, and tributes to the legendary Michael Jackson, Queen, and the Beatles. For lovers of the classics, the ensemble collection contains music by W.A. Mozart, J.S. Bach, L.V. Beethoven, R. Wagner, I. Strauss, P.I. Tchaikovsky, S.V. Rachmaninov, and all key composers' classics. And much more. Every month, the studio releases new programs and updates the existing repertoire.

For some projects, the team gathers as part of a chamber or small symphony orchestra.
