About this event
You built a powerful feature. Users ignore it. So you add a tooltip, then a tutorial, then an onboarding flow. Still nothing.
The problem was never the feature. It was when and how you showed it.
Marija Mladenovic, Product Designer at Solflare, walks through a real redesign of a swap and limit order experience that was technically complete but psychologically broken, and how stripping it back to a one-tap flow converted better by showing less. You'll see the before and after, the moment "honest UI" backfired, and the design principle that came out of it.
This is directly relevant if you are building any product with complexity under the hood, i.e. DeFi, trading, payments, AI agents, or anything where the power user path and the new user path are currently the same path.
What you will walk away with:
• A framework for deciding what to show upfront versus what to reveal on demand• Understanding the difference between simplicity and premature complexity hiding, and • A design principle every fintech founder needs: every feature should have a "just let me do the thing" path and a "let me control everything" path, and the first one should always be the default
If your Colosseum submission has a demo, this session will make it land better.
