RIENDLY EACH ONE TEACH ONE MONDAY EVENINGS WITH WOMEN AND NON-BINARY FOLKS. IT’S FREE FORM! TEACH A CLASS IF YOU’D LIKE!

​Since this is mostly screen-free and face to face, this frees up the meeting for everyone to work on whatever they want and participate at will!

​​​​​​​​​The SudoRoom has hardware of all types: analog audio, soldering tools, a lasercutter, and more! So this isn’t just a software workshop.

​Interesting in leading a class? Giving a talk? We have had talks around artificial intelligence, algorithms, the rust programming language, and linux at our women and non-binary hack night.

​Just sign up and offer to teach one!

​Don’t worry if you don’t have tons of experience on your topic. Sometimes the best teachers are beginners teaching beginners.

​ABOUT WOMEN AND NON-BINARY HACK NIGHT

​The Sudo Room, creative community and hackerspace at Omni Commons, invites all Women/NB people for “WNB Coding/Hacking Night”: bring your computer and a coding project and have fun! We can help each other if you have coding/hacking-related questions/bugs or just keep company while hacking! If you are a beginner, we can help you get started (even if you’ve never coded before!). And if you’re an intermediate programmer looking for a challenge, we can help you find problems to work on.

​No computer? No problem: we can provide one for the night. Coders/Hackers of all abilities are welcome! All coding languages are welcome! Bringing a WNB friend is highly recommended. Join in person if you’re in Oakland or online anywhere else in the world!

​The idea is also to be a safe space for WNB in the tech world, besides promoting empowerment, also to provide emotional support for those facing challenges in a work environment, tech job search or anything else related.
