Brought to you by Black at Sussex and The Kusp; The Black Creatives Lab is a one-day immersive experience designed to support, celebrate, and elevate Black students interested in careers across the creative industries.On Wednesday 22nd April 2026 from 12:00pm - 5:00pm on the University of Sussex Campus, what we have planned isn't just another career event. The Black Creatives Lab is a space created for you to connect with industry leaders who look like you, to develop your skills and professional development.

Industry Q&A Panel – Hear directly from Black professionals - Liy Grant, a Creative at Mother London and Selicia Richards-Turney, co-founder at The Shift (former Brand Marketing Manager at Uber UK and GetYourGuide) - navigating careers in the creative industries. Ask the questions that matter to you about breaking in, building your brand, and thriving in creative spaces.Interactive Workshops – Two hands-on sessions covering:Briefing and developing creative ideas for mediaBuilding your personal brand as a creative professional
