Agriculture within Solar Arrays - Climate Resiliency + Land Optimization
About this event
More than 20,000 acres of farmland in Colorado are under solar panels. Likely another 100,000 acres will be so in the next 20-30 years. Instead of destroying the land within solar arrays during construction, we can keep the land functional and even use the shade from solar panels to improve agricultural resiliency in Colorado. Shade is important when it's hot and dry, and we're only getting drier and hotter here. Solar arrays are simply massive fake tree canopies. Join us to learn how crops, people, and livestock thrive within solar arrays.
