Work, Institutions, and the Future of Human Resilience and Connection
A private roundtable with LSE President Larry Kramer
Across healthcare, education, the creative industries, professional services, entrepreneurship, and public institutions, rapidly developing technologies are transforming the future of work. As organisations race to improve efficiency, scale, and productivity, a deeper challenge is emerging: how do we build systems that value human wellbeing as much as operational performance?
Many of todayβs frontline workers, practitioners, founders, and professionals are navigating growing tension between increasingly digitised workflows and the fundamentally human nature of their work. Whether caring for patients, mentoring students, supporting communities, building companies, or maintaining public trust, much of what creates resilience and impact still depends on face-to-face connection, judgement, empathy, and meaningful relationships. As those moments are reduced, pressures can intensify, particularly in sectors where burnout is already high.
Hosted by Larry Kramer, President of the London School of Economics and former Dean of Stanford Law School, who will open the conversation, this private roundtable brings together a select group of founders, senior leaders, and practitioners for an honest cross-sector discussion on how organisations can harness the benefits of digital transformation while designing institutions where people are supported, energised, and able to thrive.
The conversation will explore how leaders can create systems that combine efficiency with humanity, where technology strengthens rather than weakens connection, and where progress is measured not only by output, but by the wellbeing of the people delivering it.
(please note this event is invite only & we are keeping space limited to 15 to keep the gathering personal and connected, if you are no longer able to make it, please let us know)
