He started contributing to Drupal in 2007, helped scale search infrastructure at Acquia, and co-organised Drupal Developer Days 2022 in Ghent (360 people, 40+ countries). He chairs the Belgian Drupal User Group and leads Developer Relations at GitLab, where his team works with thousands of open-source contributors worldwide. Ghent has a "pay it forward" culture. This is Nick paying it forward. This is not a corporate event. He is just curious what his neighbours are building.
