We encourage new hackathons to form.

We learn from the best organizers across the province.

🚀 Toronto Tech Week 2026: Hackathon Mixer

For Toronto Tech Week 2026, we are starting with a Hackathon Mixer.

This event brings together organizers and top hackers from across Ontario including communities such as:

• KingHacks

• UofT Hacks

• GenAI Genesis

• TMU Tech Week

• CTRL+HACK+DEL

• and more

📍 Toronto — TMU / University of Toronto (Final venue TBA)

📅 Toronto Tech Week (May 25–29)

⏱️ ~2–3 hour networking mixer

🤝 What This Event Is

This event creates a space for:

• Hackathon organizers

• Hackathon winners and experienced hackers

• Sponsors and community leaders

to connect, share insights, and strengthen the hackathon ecosystem in Ontario.

Our goal is to start building a united community:

The Ontario Hackathon Coalition.

Together, this coalition can attract the world’s best sponsors and support more hackathons across the province.

🌎 Long-Term Vision

Looking ahead to Toronto Tech Week 2027 or 2028, the Ontario Hackathon Coalition could organize something much bigger.

The goal would be to host the world’s largest single-location hackathon at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, featuring:

• world-class sponsors

• thousands of hackers

• a $1M grand prize

Toronto Tech Week is a citywide celebration of the people building what’s next. From May 25–29, 2026, founders, investors, and builders come together for hundreds of community-led events across Toronto, connecting tens of thousands of people around Canadian tech. Torontotechweek.com.
