Oil Painting Workshop- Portraiture

In this one-day workshop, you’ll learn how to mix realistic and expressive flesh tones, and how to build a portrait step by step from dark to light in oils. Through guided exercises, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of tone, colour, and form in portrait painting. You can choose to work from self-observation or from a photograph, allowing you to explore a process that suits your practice. By the end of the day, you’ll have created your own finished portrait. Beginners and more experienced painters both welcome Each workshop is limited to just 4 participants, ensuring plenty of individual guidance and support. All materials are included, so you can focus fully on the process of learning and painting. Tea, coffee and biscuits also provided.
