About this event
Join us for a new meetup to talk about tech and data in Creative and Cultural work. Music, performance, theatre, visual arts, museums and anything else that is a part of our cultural lives.
We’ve been missing a space to connect across domains, share ideas and support one another as we work. Join us in co-creating a space to have a conversation about technology and the creative sector, for sharing work, conversing and co-creating.
We'll meet on the third Wednesday evening of the month.
Where:
Exact location to be confirmed but for our first (few) meet-ups we are planning on holding them in a pub in central / east London.
What:
To start with we will meet, make intros and network. In the following sessions we’ll dedicate time to sharing ideas, projects and products we are working on.
As ever, let us know what you want from the meetup and we can shape it to make it happen.
For this session on April 22nd we'll be running the following formula:

Who:
CultureBlocs are hosted by Mark Simpkins and Oliver Outen. Both work at intersections of technology and creativity.
Mark helped organise the Mycelia meetups for Imogen Heap, as well as helped to build the first version of The Creative Passport. He has years of experience in digital technology and delivering work in the worlds of media, fashion, music, television and theatre.
Oliver used to be a promoter and DJ/Producer in the nightlife industry, but now works in the tech sector building apps, websites and working with digital data.
