by NANDA: "Internet of AI Agents"
Agent stores and registries currently operate in isolation—agents in one cannot easily discover or connect with those in another. We see a need for a simple, open framework: an open index across agent registries that enables cross-platform discovery and interaction, without constraining how agents or marketplaces are built.
A small group has begun outlining the core elements—data structure, governance, format, and cryptographic signing—and would value broader leadership input. This salon is an invitation for discussion and comments.
As the Internet evolves toward an era with billions—eventually trillions—of autonomous AI agents, new challenges emerge around how these entities can be discovered, identified, authenticated, and coordinated. Traditional DNS-based models strain under the demands of millisecond-scale negotiation, delegation, and migration across global workloads.
This Salon explores a new framework for creating a unified index that spans multiple agent registries and stores—an infrastructure designed to support verifiable discoverability and secure collaboration across the “Internet of AI Agents.” The proposed framework introduces a minimal, cryptographically grounded index that links to dynamic AgentFacts: structured, verifiable records that enable multi-endpoint routing, privacy-preserving access, and capability assertions.

The session outlines how this new layer of the agentic web can enable trust-aware interoperability, privacy-conscious visibility, and seamless collaboration at Internet scale—all while remaining compatible with existing web and identity infrastructure.
