Rethinking Productivity for Women

by Female Founders Rise Community

About this event

Rethinking Productivity for Women: How biology shapes energy, focus, and the way we work. This science-backed workshop reveals how the brain shifts throughout the menstrual cycle, and what that means for work. Delivered by Maggie McDaris, Founder and CEO of Phase. Participants learn the four phases of the cycle and how hormonal changes affect focus, creativity, communication, and execution - and how to use this knowledge to plan work more strategically across the month. With practical tools, they’ll discover how to align planning, pitching, deep work, and reflection with their natural rhythms to maximise performance and avoid burnout. Perfect for ambitious professionals, this session reframes productivity as a cyclical advantage, giving women the insights and strategies to work smarter, leverage their strengths, and thrive in any professional setting. The workshop will include practical exercises, such as:1. Mapping personal energy patterns to individual work tasks (admin, pitching, project management, etc.)2. A guide to using tools like Phase to align workload with cycle phases and energy levels3. Scripts and communication strategies for real-world contexts, including how to communicate needs, boundaries, and planning decisions with clients and teams.
