AI Automation Hackathon: For Founders and Fractional Finance Leaders

A hands-on build day for founders and fractional finance leaders who want to use Round and AI agents to reduce manual work. The goal: You leave with one working dashboard or workflow that meaningfully reduces the admin you do. How the day works You bring one real finance task you currently do manually​Morning: get the relevant data into Round and build a basic dashboard​Afternoon: break the task into steps and turn it into an automated/agentic workflow​You leave with:​A Round-based view of your business or a client (or dummy data) you can reuse​One working automation/agent you can keep iterating on What to bring A laptop​One annoying, repeatable finance task you want off your plate​Access to a client or your own data that you’re comfortable using, or confirm you’d prefer to use dummy data We’ll announce event partners, Anthropic/Claude credits, and the final location soon What we’ll cover Session 1 – Consolidate your data This morning session is about getting your data into one place and making it usable. We’ll cover: Onboarding your (real or dummy) data into RoundManaging cash, AP and payroll from one central hubBuilding simple client dashboards using pre-built promptsUsing Claude Code to visualise and interrogate your dataCreating something you can immediately use or show a client (even if you start with dummy data) You can choose to work with real data or anonymised/dummy data that we’ll prepare in advance. Session 2 – Build automated / agentic workflows The afternoon is about turning that consolidated data into automation. We’ll cover: An intro to Make.com and AI agents (no jargon, no hype)How agentic workflows actually work in a finance contextPre-built prompts and JSON workflows you can plug in and adaptVisual walkthroughs of example workflows before you build your own Example use cases: Creating and emailing simple snapshots before meetings​Flagging specific issues across clients (e.g. low runway, overdue invoices)​Triggering workflows from changes in Round data​Connecting Round to tools like Slack, email, Sheets, and more With Claude Code, you’ll be able to go from idea to working automation much faster than a typical “no-code” day.
