How can I make AI go well? A mixer for professionals exploring a move into AI safety
AI is developing at an exponential rate, bringing with it critical risks to almost every area of human infrastructure and activity. The field of AI safety - formed of organisations, programmes and researchers - is scaling rapidly to address these risks, with high impact, dynamic roles opening up across disciplines.
If you’re considering what your own career looks like as AI reshapes your industry, or curious to understand how your skills could transfer to play a role in making AI go well, join LISA for a low-pressure evening to explore the field, understand the part you could play, and meet the people who are already in it.
We'll kick off with lightning talks - you'll learn about the current AI Safety landscape, the most pressing gaps in the field, key skills required for non-research roles, and why experienced professionals and generalists are ideally placed to make an impact - followed by curated rounds of speed networking with fellow explorers and AI safety professionals.
