About this event

✨ Cycladic Clay: A Sculptural Handbuilding Workshop 📍 Zoku Amsterdam | Amsterdam Oost🗓 March 29🕛 12:30 – 3:00Hosted in partnership with Paris Vivianne Panigiri 🧠 What This Workshop Is About Join us for a slow, contemplative afternoon working with clay, inspired by the timeless beauty of Cycladic figurines—ancient sculptural forms created thousands of years ago in the heart of the Aegean. Known for their quiet presence, simplified human silhouettes, and balanced proportions, Cycladic figures feel both deeply ancient and strikingly modern. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own Cycladic-style figure using intuitive handbuilding techniques, guided step by step in a calm, supportive environment. The focus is on simplicity, rhythm, and proportion, rather than detail or perfection. You’ll be encouraged to work slowly, respond intuitively to the material, and develop a form that feels personal and grounded. Participants may choose to honour the minimalist aesthetic of the Cyclades by keeping their piece pure and understated, or introduce a contemporary touch through subtle surface textures, modern details, or painted elements. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a sculptural object that bridges past and present—a timeless form reimagined through your own modern lens. No prior experience is needed. This workshop is designed to be grounding, expressive, and quietly powerful—an invitation to slow down and work with form, history, and intuition. 🧾 What to Know Before You Come What to expect: A slow, meditative, hands-on workshop focused on process rather than speed or perfectionFinishing the work: You’ll complete a sculptural piece during the session and add painted or surface details as desired What’s included:All clay and handbuilding materialsGuided instruction in sculptural handbuilding techniquesAcrylic paints to finish your pieceTea and coffee throughout the workshop 👩‍🎨 About the Artist Paris Vivianne Panigiri is an abstract impressionistic artist whose work draws from the intricate beauty of nature, the depth of emotion, and the powerful movement of the sea. Her practice explores harmony as a layered, complex tapestry—mirroring the emotional textures of human experience. Through color, form, and texture, Panigiri’s work communicates beyond words, channeling emotion into tangible expression. Each piece becomes a quiet visual symphony, inviting resonance and connection between artwork and viewer. Her approach to making emphasizes intuition, emotional honesty, and the subtle magic that emerges when material and feeling move together. 🔁 Cancellation Policy Cancellations made more than one week before the event are eligible for either: A credit toward another Pink Poodle Society event for the full ticket amount, orA refund minus the 6% platform and ticketing fees (non-refundable) Cancellations made within one week of the event are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. ✨ Spaces are limited—this atelier will fill quickly.
