Known for their quiet presence, simplified human silhouettes, and balanced proportions, Cycladic figures feel both deeply ancient and strikingly modern. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own Cycladic-style figure using intuitive handbuilding techniques, guided step by step in a calm, supportive environment. The focus is on simplicity, rhythm, and proportion, rather than detail or perfection. You’ll be encouraged to work slowly, respond intuitively to the material, and develop a form that feels personal and grounded. Participants may choose to honour the minimalist aesthetic of the Cyclades by keeping their piece pure and understated, or introduce a contemporary touch through subtle surface textures, modern details, or painted elements. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a sculptural object that bridges past and present—a timeless form reimagined through your own modern lens. No prior experience is needed.
