Come join us for one full day and one night in the redwoods for an immersive Earth Day experience designed for Chief Sustainability Officers, senior sustainability and nature leaders, philanthropists, and funding partners seeking real climate and conservation impact.
Because we know how much people are juggling during San Francisco Climate Week, and because several guests expressed strong interest in a shorter option, we are now offering a condensed tour format from April 22 to 23.
Guests will depart from Salesforce Tower in San Francisco at 7 am on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, spend one full day and one night with us in the forest, and return the following morning, Thursday, April 23, arriving back in San Francisco before 12 noon.
This is more than a retreat. It is a rare chance to step into one of the world’s most extraordinary forest landscapes and see how restoration, stewardship, and innovation are coming together across our 50,000-acre redwood forest along California’s Lost Coast.
Over the course of the tour, guests will explore three core themes:
1. Watershed Restoration and Wildfire Resilience
See how $10 million is being deployed to strengthen forest health, improve watersheds, increase climate resilience, and reduce wildfire risk. Guests will also learn how cultural burning is helping restore the land while reconnecting people to stewardship traditions.
2. Protecting and Restoring a 50,000-Acre Redwood Forest
Meet our forest management team and see how long-term stewardship is helping restore this vast redwood landscape for future generations. Learn how we monitor forest recovery over time and use that insight to guide smarter restoration decisions.
3. Protecting Rare Species in a Global Biodiversity Hotspot
Explore how this forest supports at-risk wildlife such as the Northern Spotted Owl, Marbled Murrelet, California red-legged frog, red-bellied newt, and coastal tailed frog. Guests will see how restoration and innovative monitoring are helping recover habitat in one of the world’s most important biodiversity regions.
Along the way, guests will also experience select field tools, including wildlife cameras, bioacoustics, environmental sensors, and other Smart Forest technology that help us better understand forest and watershed health.
All on-the-ground tour costs are covered except flights and alcohol, including transportation, meals, and accommodations. Guests will recharge in an awe-inspiring private oceanfront room overlooking the Pacific before returning to the city inspired, refreshed, and better equipped to lead.
