Drawing & Painting in Ink

In this one-day workshop, you’ll explore monochromatic ink painting using both imagination and observation. Through guided exercises, you’ll learn how to develop fluid mark-making, tonal variation, and expressive composition. You can work from your own drawings or a reference image, using them as a starting point to create a more personal, interpretive piece. We will start the day by experimenting with different ways of using the materials and as you build more confidence, you will proceed onto working on your own imagery. Beginners and more experienced artists are both welcome. Each workshop is limited to just 4 participants, ensuring plenty of individual guidance and support. All materials are included, so you can focus fully on the process of making. Tea, coffee, and biscuits are also provided.
