The webinar brings together practitioners, leaders in sports, sustainability and marketing to examine what is already working, what still needs to happen, and how their collective influence can accelerate the shift from an operational procedure to a cultural movement.
Sports transcends culture as one of the only truly non-partisan spaces in public life. Fans across the political spectrum fill the same stadiums, cheer the same players, and share the same rituals. This gives the sports world extraordinary power: it can embed sustainable values such as reusable cups, clean energy, and responsible consumption into everyday culture in ways that policy and corporate messaging simply cannot.
While efforts are being made at every level of athletics to reduce the emissions of sports and factor in social impact - these conversations seem to be behind the scenes - rather than as the driving force of cultural change that they have the power to be.
Speakers:
Brandon Hamilton, Vice President of Stadium Operations and Facilities, Kansas City Chiefs
Emanuel Macedo de Madeiro - Chairman and CEO of Sports Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA)
Lynn Casey - CEO and Founder of ShineScout
Michael Kraus, Executive Director of Green Sports Alliance
Moderated By: Danielle Jezienicki, Founder of Impact FWD and Sustainability Advisor, presented by Sandra Lopez of Ambi Ventures
