Film is changing. Fast.
If you’ve been watching the rise of tools like Sora, Veo3, ElevenLabs, and wondering when to stop watching from the sidelines and actually try it properly, this is that room.
On 18–19 April in Dublin, Give(a)Go is partnering with Wan, ElevenLabs, Dogpatch Labs, and Napkin to present the Ireland AI Filmmaking Hackathon.
A high-taste, hands-on day bringing together creatives and technologists to create something beautiful.
Expect filmmakers, artists, editors, designers, engineers, and curious builders joining from across Europe. People whose work touches worlds like Netflix, Prime Video, Game of Thrones, and more. People who understand craft. People who understand systems. People who are early. People who want in.
You’ll get free access to Frontier video and audio models and spend day one making, testing, and pushing ideas into short films with other people who care deeply about what ends up on screen, before premiering the best work on day two.
Check www.film.giveago.co for all details.
Day 1 is to createYou’ll meet your team, shape your idea, and get to work. Expect a full day of writing, storyboarding, generating, shooting, editing, iterating, and figuring things out in real time. We’ll have cameras in the room, spaces to shoot, spaces to edit, and a live coffee bar running throughout the day.
Day 2 is the premiere. We move from build mode to screening mode. The films will be shown in a cinema space as part of a preferred black tie evening, with judges from both the creative and technical worlds, and the night will close with an award ceremony for the films that leave a mark.
A proper audience. A proper screen. A chance to see this emerging medium on the big screen in a way that still feels rare.
This is open to curious people with taste across film, art, design, engineering, and creative technology.
Bring your laptop, your charger, and one small object connected to your favourite film. Something playful. Something personal.
Two days. One screen. Come make something strange and beautiful.
