

This tour is intended for out of town attendants interested in learning about topics including circularity, resource recovery, and climate action in the waste and recycling sector. Due to limited space on the tour, Bay Area residents are encouraged to sign up for a Recology Public Tour at a later date.

Tour Requirements:
Guests must sign a release of liability form upon arrival. Anyone 9-18 years of age must have a waiver signed by their legal parent or guardian, and children under nine are not allowed on tours. Attendees must wear sturdy, closed-toe, comfortable walking shoes (no sandals) and long pants are strongly suggested. We will be walking through an industrial area which may have broken glass or debris.Recology-provided safety equipment (including hard hats, vests, and safety glasses) must be worn at all times. Cell phone use and cameras are not permitted on site.

This tour includes long stretches of walking, several flights of stairs, uneven surfaces, and hills. Areas of the facility may be extremely slippery. This tour may involve loud noises, strong smells, and dust.This tour will take approximately 3.5 hours to complete. Partial tours cannot be accommodated.Ample street parking is available at the Transfer Station. Please do not park in employee lots. This tour will be canceled in the event of rain.
