At RSBC, we know the right technology can make home life more accessible and independent. In this Tech Corner, we’ll explore how tech in the home can support blind and vision impaired people, from smart speakers to everyday gadgets in the kitchen. Discover practical smart home ideas, hear about talking tech that can help with cooking and safety in the kitchen, and watch one or two live demos of how these tools work in real life. You’ll also meet Rosie, who runs our Independent Living Skills workshops, as she shares hands-on tips and favourite techniques for using technology confidently at home. Come along to share your own experiences of tech in the home, ask questions, and pick up simple ideas you can try straight away. This session is perfect for young people, families, and professionals alike.
