A recurring series of gatherings at the intersection of language and technology. Join us to read and discuss our way through the world of computational poetry and electronic literature through visual, historical, critical, and other contextual lenses. Gatherings may also involve hands-on remixing of classic computational poetry pieces, writing and critique sessions, guest speakers, reading and discussing adjacent texts, and more.
Experience with HTML/CSS/JS recommended but not required to attend. Bring your laptop and charger.
For this gathering:
Open projector (5 minutes each): Share a project that engages with language and technology: either one you have authored yourself, or one you admire by another author. Be ready to plug your machine directly into the projector (dongles will be provided) and do a short demo or presentation.Read and discuss: The First Sally (A) or Trurl's Electronic Bard by Stanisław Lem
