Small cities are proving that you don't need a massive budget or a large team to take meaningful climate action. This session takes an honest look at what small cities face when tackling climate planning: navigating limited resources, building community buy-in, choosing the right tools, and staying the course when momentum stalls.
Join the Cities of Takoma Park, Gaithersburg, and Bowie for a conversation where we'll share what we've learned, where we've stumbled, and what's giving us hope for what's ahead.
Come ready to learn about climate action planning and implementation at the local level โ and to discover ways to get involved as a resident, connect with likeminded community members, and help shape what comes next.
The evening kicks off with each city sharing their climate journey at 6:30 pm, followed by an open panel discussion at 7:00 pm, and wraps up with a networking session until 8:30 pm.
Busboys and Poets at the Takoma location will be offering Happy Hour from 5:30 to 6:30 pm โ come early for great bites and drinks before the program begins!
