Sobremesa Special: Dot In X Juan Fortunato

Sobremesa Club is partnering with Dot In and Chef Juan Fortunato for an intimate, one-night-only dining experience.

Indian cuisine holds countless stories, and Dot In brings to Amsterdam the rich culinary heritage of Kerala. Kerala is located along India’s south-west coastline, its cuisine is shaped by its tropical landscape and history as a spice trading hub, think coconut, curry leaves, fresh seafood, and deeply layered flavours. It’s also one of the few regions in India where beef is traditionally part of the cuisine, adding to its distinct character.

For this night only, gourmet Chef Juan Fortunato has created a special 5-course menu that brings together fine dining and bold regional flavors, celebrating spice, warmth, and storytelling through food.

This evening is designed to be shared, a space where you’ll sit alongside new and familiar faces, exchange stories, and experience a menu that unfolds slowly, course by course.

The Menu

Peanut MasalaA vibrant, textured start, roasted peanuts in coconut oil and chili, balanced with fresh tomato, red onion, coriander, and lime. Finished with pomegranate and a subtle crunch.

ChemmeenPan-fried marinated shrimp layered with green mango, herbs, and a rich, spiced sauce. Coconut and chili bring depth and warmth to the dish.

KozhiCrispy chicken thigh glazed with tamarind, served with roasted carrot purée, fresh herbs, and a fragrant kuruma sauce.

BeefSlow-cooked glazed beef paired with flaky porotta, bright chutneys, pickled elements, and coconut for a rich, balanced finish.

Ada PradhamanA comforting Kerala classic: rice cake in coconut milk and jaggery, served warm with toasted coconut, cardamom, and vanilla ice cream.
