Google Developer Group (GDG) Annapolis is a local community for developers to connect and learn together. We are a volunteer-run group, supported by Google, with a mission to build a strong, inclusive, and skilled tech community in the heart of Maryland.

This global community prides itself on being an inclusive environment. We welcome everyone interested in tech, from beginners to experienced developers.

What We Do: Your Hub for Google Technology

We host a variety of events tailored to the interests of the Annapolis tech scene, from downtown startups to the academic hubs at local universities. Our events provide hands-on learning, expert insights, and invaluable networking opportunities.

Our key initiatives include:

Build with AI: These community-led, hands-on events help developers of all skill levels (including backend, Android, and Flutter) acquire and apply Generative AI skills using Gemini, Gemma, and Vertex AI.
Road to Google Developers Certification: We provide the resources and community support to help you prepare for and earn professional Google Cloud certifications, such as Cloud Architect, Data Engineer, and Machine Learning Engineer.
StartathonAI: An AI-powered startup immersive experience where participants use LLMs to build comprehensive business plans and compete in a pitch competition judged by VCs and industry experts.
Building for Everyone: In partnership with Google's Accessibility teams, we run events to educate developers on incorporating accessibility best practices and tools into their products.
Social & Networking Events: Connect with your peers at our "Tap and Tech" or "Small Business AI Clinique" events.
