About this event
How can AI be used to improve coordination for Berlin? What could be used today already? Perhaps your project?Join us for a fun informal evening of knowledge sharing, brainstorming, and making some positive impact!
🖥️ Practical sessionsExplore agentic AI for urban decision-support and GeoData🤝 🍻 Time to ConnectDiscuss, network, and share experiences with fellow builders🍕 Pizza & Snacks Provided
// FOR WHO?✅ AI Engineers, ML practitioners, all builders✅ Projects on RAG, agents, geodata, or decision-support tools✅ Anyone curious about AI in democratic institutions⚠️ Technical knowledge is optional; curiosity & realism required
The Topic:Berlin has a complex urban system shaped by limited staff, fragmented data, regulation, political accountability, physical infrastructure, and long time horizons.How can new AI capabilities help in decision making? (eg. decentralized AI, secure compute, OpenClaw, Claude Code, Codex, RAG, Computer Vision, GIS agents, simulations, etc. etc.)
Together with civil servants and researchers, we will map:
🧩 What functions AI systems can provide (e.g., extraction, routing, triage, forecasting, secure orchestration, coordination)📍 Where those functions intersect with district-level challenges🛡️ What must change for responsible public deployment (auditability, least-privilege access, security, value criteria)🚀 Which capabilities are ready for applied pilots — and what a realistic pathway looks like
This 'working session' builds on nextlearning’s collaboration across district administration, scientific modelling, and civic coordination, and is part of a cooperation with the District of Berlin-Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and the Max Planck Institute for Geoanthropology.

This is an applied inquiry under constraint. Between acceleration and inertia, there is design work to be done.
// FAQ
What’s AI Builders?We are a community of 5000+ AI builders experimenting with tools, agents, and AI-enabled workflows. We aim to make our community co-owned and co-governed by attendees.
Will it be recorded?Yes — recordings and photos are standard, by attending you consent.
I’m not technical. Can I join?Yes, this session is structured for mixed experience. Technical knowledge is optional but curiosity & realism are required.
Why do I need to pay?March is a full collaboration with the city and Max Planck Institute. Budget covers facilitation, venue, catering, and resources to deliver a high-quality, focused session. Sponsored/free tickets may be available for those in need.
