About this event

Hungary’s startup ecosystem is growing but when it comes to domestic venture capital investment, founders are facing an uphill battle. To tap into investment opportunities abroad, including in the US and UK, Hungarian startups are trialling a ‘dual-base’ business model.

In practice, this involves startups incorporating abroad (i.e. Delaware TopCo in the US) while retaining a Hungary-based workforce to leverage cost efficiency.

In our latest Scaleup Series event, we’ll discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this business model, how Hungarian founders can attract overseas investors and the growing risk of regional brain drain.

There will also be plenty of time to network with like-minded founders, executives, and investors over drinks and snacks. You'll also have the chance to meet with a Wise Business representative to discuss any questions regarding your existing or future account with us.
