Second session for the collective tapestry! Calling all knitters, crocheters, fibre artists, and crafters to join us at Arc Collective on May 12 for a relaxed, hands-on workshop exploring textiles and collective design.
We’ll be creating a shared tapestry inspired by London, using yarn, canvas, and any found materials we can experiment with. You’re welcome to learn some basic knitting, or just jump in with weaving, arranging, and playing around with textures.
No experience needed; it’s a casual, welcoming space to try something new, meet people, and make something together. There’ll be tea and sweets too.
If you have any spare yarn, fabric, or crafting tools at home, feel free to bring them along.
The session starts at 7:30pm, so please arrive between 7:15–7:30.
This workshop is part of a 3-session series. It’s best if you can come to all three, but joining at least two is absolutely fine.
Session 1 (April 21): exploring ideas, collaging, choosing materials, and making a swatchSessions 2 & 3 (May 12 and June 2): working together to build the final piece
This is a pay-what-you-can event. A suggested contribution of £5 helps cover materials and running costs.
