TheARC Farm shares reliable, healthy, fresh produce through weekly food giveaways to 8,500 DC residents. In the fall of 2025, TheARC received significant media attention when SNAP program funding was threatened during the nation’s longest-ever government shutdown. Ward 8, home to the farm and just one grocery store for 85,000+ residents, reminds us that community is foundational to food sovereignty.
Come explore, meet the stewards of TheARC Farm, and enjoy an early evening of climate resiliency, education, and community building. 🥕DC Climate Week is not responsible for this event.
