A curated group from the London Venture Club will gather for an off-the-record evening focused on the future of lifespan, exploring the more speculative, ambitious and fast-evolving frontier of longevity science and investment.
This session looks beyond current best practice and into what may be coming next. It will examine the ideas, technologies and scientific bets attracting attention from longevity-focused investors, researchers and founders, with a particular interest in the interventions that aim not simply to maintain health or improve performance, but to alter the trajectory of ageing itself.
The discussion will centre on three core areas:
The longevity investment frontier - what specialist investors are backing, where capital is flowing, and which parts of the longevity landscape appear most promising, credible or commercially significantBreakthrough science and emerging therapies - including the biological mechanisms of ageing, the search for interventions that may slow, delay or reverse aspects of age-related decline, and the scientific hurdles that still remainWhat the future may look like - from regenerative medicine and cellular reprogramming to advanced diagnostics, AI-enabled drug discovery and other ideas that may reshape how lifespan and ageing are understood in the years ahead
The session will feature expert perspectives from longevity investors, scientists and operators working close to the frontier, with speakers to be announced shortly.
The format will be highly interactive, with questions and informed challenge welcomed from the room. As with all London Venture Club sessions, discussion will take place under Chatham House Rule.
This session is not intended to offer certainty, nor to blur the line between science and science fiction. Rather, it is designed to help members think more clearly about what is genuinely emerging, what remains highly experimental, and where the most serious people in the field believe meaningful breakthroughs may come from. Some ideas may prove transformative, others may fail entirely, but the direction of travel is increasingly important for anyone interested in the future of health, medicine, human capability and long-term investing.
It offers a candid look at the outer edge of the longevity conversation and the forces that may define its next chapter.
